I'm going to have a bash at jinxing some selections by posting!
I played around with a few ideas a while back now and after about 3 months of following them until I no longer had the time, they were doing ok.
The NH version has 3 extra filters, that was going the best, the AW version has 1 extra filter and the flat turf version has just one set of rules, all of which are too complicated for me to bother posting. Unfortunately, I remember the flat version was the least successful of them all, so expect plenty of loss! :D

Ooo If there's 10 points in it after a year, that's good enough. I'm mostly hopeful of NH1 filter 3, and NH2, they showed the most promise in a previous trial. So give it longer than 1 week before commenting

Dead right ProfitSeeker - you know people sometimes get the wrong end of the stick when it comes to system betting. If you can find a system that shows ANY profit long term then that is better than a short term boom and bust. Give a proper disciplined patient gambler a system that makes profit long term and he will make money from it, where others wont, that is due to staking. You could have 50 systems making only making 5 points per year profit each and he would be happy. The secret is to stake each system seperatley and then if one system fails over a long period of time you can bin it and only lose 1/50th of your initial total bank. So all you have to worry about when deciding if a system works is the amount of selections you can get together to prove it. The longer the period you sample and the more the selections the better - the actual Profit is just a bonus if it is higher than others. profit is profit no matter how small, why bin profit?

When testing, if I remember rightly, the flat was about 5 points up after 3 months but had a low strike rate, with high price winners now and then. Probably not enough winners to make profit but we'll see.
