Ok this really has me curious now...Tell all Keith...what determines how much rep power you have?

I was browsing through old members and came across a couple of loonies, and Kered who have a rep power of 6 and 7....etc....

    Curiosity killed the cat.

I think it is a combination of:

    - how long you've been a member
    - number of posts
    - current number of rep points

I had my first contributing factor down as length of membership at first but reworded it to avoid comments like this :wink

I see....I've been reading through VBulletin and comparing a few sites and that little ditty remained a mystery.

The drawback with this is the undue weight applied to number of posts as opposed to the sagacity, wisdom, and brevity contained within said posts. The effect of this weighting can best be seen when you compare Vegy's 3,000,000 posts and...well, everyone else's really :D

Having said that, I personally feel I should spread a little more rep around so no one should be surprised if their power creeps up over the next day or two.
