    darts - world grand prix

get your telly on sky sports 2 for the next 5 hours for darts action.

not done too much research (shame on me) but i think this event is a short game length and double to start (and finish) - will listen to what they say in the introduction. but plenty of trading to be done.

now that game just shows how great darts is.

    £46K gubbed @ 1.01 part £150k+ 1.10
great for trading - though only managed a few quid, but it just shows you should always green up.

very true on the greening up, it saved me a few quid as well then, didnt expect that at all.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

now that really pissed me off

had £20 - £0 on painter when it was evens - click to green up, and the internet connection went

it only went for 5 mins (both computers) - but it cost me a min £10

the ISP is usually so reliable, but it always 's up when the darts is on

don't know what's happening in the darts. the first 5 fav's all lost

    part @ 1.2
    lloyd @ 1.2
    walsh @ 1.5
    painter @ 1.6
    a jenkins @ 1.95

made a pittance trading, so called it a night early on - i trade a lot on oppinion / value aswell as conventional trading. but when everything is going against you it aint easy.

    don't mean to be funny,
but shouldn't this be in off topic as opposed to sports bets

    2nd round matches

    MARDLE vs smith @ 1.26
    callaby vs JENKINS @ 1.6
    ANDERSON vs mccracken @ 1.2
    MANLEY vs sams @ 1.3

baxter vs wade ? (very close- odds not properly formed)
    SCHOLTEN vs beaton @ 1.4+
    TAYLOR vs barney @ 1.4+

    preistly vs lewis ?

    .................................................
as for the free bet - i doupt it's worth putting it on a single for a very small return.
manley / mardle are cracking EW bets if you can get decent odd's as they have a pretty easy run in to the final (no taylor / barney) - though they will play each other if they both win tonight.

    mardle 10/1
    manley 16/1
    with sky bet.

manley probably represents the better EW value though i would have prefered longer odds. (as always).

sporting odd's go 22/1 on manley
    mardle commonly available @ 12/1

The bet is a £5 single or each-way bet on the darts. I did wonder about going for someone e-w on the outright market but wasn't sure who represented value so thanks for the above.

Is it worth trying a fiver on one of the above to win without reply (2-0?) tonight?

    it's 3 sets tonight.
mardle 3-0 is only 13/8 - which imo is a little short

mardle 3-1 @ 5/2 is a bit better - and imo is a much better bet as smith will have at least 1 set where he is throwing first, so if all goes to throw smith should win a set.

i must admit set / leg betting is not something i look into much.

it's just a shame about the short odd's on manley to win EW, as he beat mason (good darter) 2-0 in the first round. and looked like he should make the final (if he can beat mardle - which he has a good posibility of doing).

not sure what sky are doing with the darts.
the cricket has overun into the darts - and it's not on another channel.

it's been on SS2 all week - so why change it to SS1 following a live event.

wade vs baxter first up - should be a cracker.

wade is the 1.68 fav, and i am a big fan of this guy.
baxter is 2.46 and could very well win tonight.

i think wade may edge it - but would want 1.8 at least if i were to bet. this could go all the way.

phil beats barnie in the biggie.

lewis vs preistly up next, - this could be a cracker. both in good form especially preistly. and preistly is a very slow thrower which could upset the quick lewis out of his rythm. possibly preistly on this one.

manley vs jenkins up next. have to stick with manley in this one - he was throwing great the other day, and i am not a massive fan of jenkins - how he can be one game of the premier league is pretty unbeleivable.

though he has been doing a 'lloyd' and entering every single tournament, for the points.
