    staking methods

Hello, I'm a newbie here, and have been looking through your forum. I am very impressed by the win2win laying systems, the free one included.

The info. I want is probably here somewhere, but I can't find it. Has anyone got results using a different staking plan? The results are given using level stakes, but has anyone used the 3-2-1 method, for example? or a fixed liability?

I aim to use 5% of my bank for level stakes, is this realistic, or too ambitious? I think maybe there would be a higher profit using the 3-2-1 method ie 3pts for odds of 1.0 to 3.0, 3pts for 3.1 to 5.0, and 1pt for 5.0 to 7.5, or something similar. Also, are there any results for laying to higher odds, maybe up to 12.0?

    Thanks

Working on the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' principle - to be honest you really don't need to be mucking about with different staking plans on these - they are generally worked out to be best with levels, and what most folk tend to do is increase the stakes as the bank increases - but at a slower rate than the bank so you increase the safety margin as the bank gets bigger. For instance for every 10% increase in bank you would only increase the stakes by 5%.

Thanks Bigcumba, I can see the results are good using level stakes, but just thought someone might have some results using a different plan.

What I like about the results here is that they include Betfair commission, and also use Betfair SP. So many tipsters don't include these in their results. You only have to look at the results on the Racing Index site. They look impressive till you you add 5% commission and add 15-20% to the SP, to reflect Betfair odds. The systems used by many tipsters quickly turn from a good profit to a terrible loss :(

Because of the comms+overlay it is extremely dangerous using a staking plan other than those that are simple, and mathmatically easy to handle them.
