I know we've all had bad beats before but isn't it just sickening to have one after you've been playing for almost 2 hours and you bust out one place from the money?!!!

I was playing in 50 person (5 table) SnG and 2 players were way out ahead and the rest of us were all about equal. The blinds were getting big and it was folded all around to me (just the blinds after me). With QQ I raised to 3xBB. The SB folded and the BB put all his chips in. I'd seen him raise weak hands before (he was basically a chip bully) so I knew I had him beat so I called. He turned over A 10. The cards came in order : Q 6 7 8 9

I feel your pain Mr Darcy, especially as I had a similar situation the other night regarding missing out on the money by one place. It's a sucker.

Nasty that you got beaten like that, but you made the right move by calling his all-in holding QQ. 9/10 times you'd have won with Trip Q's.

If you continue to play your Queens in this way you will win more than you lose but of course the bad beats are there waiting for us all.
