Fancied Uruguay myself since theyve the bigger names and better form, but Peru are the more hungry team at the moment and deserve to be 2-0 up.

to be honest wasn't really sure which side to go with but sided with Uruguay because I thought Peru had the weaker defence and midfield but uruguay have been very poor in my opinion

Agreed Paul. Thought Uruguay would have put up a better fight than they did.

Tournament was very kind to me three years ago. I stayed up to watch every game and layed 0-0 and under 2.5 goals in every match and there wasn't a goalless draw throughout.

    Good start this time. :)

Not a bad start for goal backers with seven in the first two games. :)

Good luck with Brazil Yerot.....the other game is a close one...I wont be betting but think Ecuador may edge it...Draw no bet is an option....

    Good luck , mate...

going on how open the match is, a few more goals to come yet i would imagine.

I think chile will win this still, (Not betting on it no!)

I'd like to think there will be a few more Matt! Have been impressed with Ecuador's speed and movement up-front so far. Chile seem to overcook it when they get near to or in the box but I expect them to alter their approach in the second half.

    Fingers crossed. :)

    Ecuador 2 Chile 3.

Can't believe Ecuador lost this game! A combination of the post and the red-hot Chile keeper kept them out. Game changed on an extremely dodgy offside given against Ecuador when striker one on one with keeper outside his box preventing an almost certain goal. Within 20 seconds Chile get the equaliser. The linesman on the opposite side then evens things up with an even more outrageous offside when striker clearly 10 yards on and goes through to score.

Great start to the tournament though with twelve goals in three games.

Brazil's turn now with delayed kick-off which means I won't get to bed until circa 4.00am and up for work at 6.30am.

    Hope it isn't 0-0. :)

Both goals were amazing. Brazil just aint hitting top gear yet, but of the starting 11 tonight how many wouldve started if it was the world cup final, 2 maybe 3 of them. If Argentina can play their normal game its their competition for the taking!!!

I was so tempted to do +3.5 tonight after the way the goals have been going in...thought there had to be a low score one round the corner...not this one though! :splapme:)

The tournament is a goalfest Scooby!

Just hope I am going to bed at 4.00am after a sackful in the Argentina game to make up for my nightmare last night. Backed over 2.5 goals heavily in Brazil game and went in for more and more in the second half as Brazil missed chance after chance. Eventually wrote it off as one of those nights when, with the clock on 92:55 with the ref having allowed three minutes, Mexico striker went one on one with 'keeper, rounded him and from dead centre of goal and only seven yards out, somehow missed.

I don't know whether you have seen it but it does need to be seen to be believed. Obviously didn't matter much to him or them as the game was won but meant a hell of a lot to many people.

One more goal for anyone within the next 73 minutes will make seven and a half hours sleep in three days that much easier to take! :)
