hi guys need some help of our resident wizkids glos john or anybody who knows how to help me.
what it is i want to make a programme for work which is basically a map of dubai where i can pop a flag in at a number of locations.

only i want the flags to stay at the locations so i can print them out.
anybody who manages to help me with this can have a free deseart safari next time they are in dubai and i cann also show them all the local whore houses if they want ?

thanks keith but its not quite what i'm looking for i need to be able to pop little flags in it on screen and need more control of the zoom

You can zoom into a number plate, and you can stick flags in it......that is what that software does

got it sussed using it with google maps which can give me the exact location of hotels and your thing lets me put flags in.
ok keith next time you're in dubai you can have a free desert safari 6 hour tour as much to eat as you want:)

Most of the online mapping software can do what you want. The alternative would be for someone to create a bespoke zoomable map of Dubai in Flash that you can upload to your own server. You can then control the position of the flags using an external XML file, or have them hard-coded into the Flash file. It depends on how frequently you want to change the flag positions.

You'd be better off just having a resource of flags coded into Flash and then being able to drag and drop as many as you need, and be able to write comments in a box next to each one. Simple.

If you didn't like the Flash drums, ignore them. Simple.
