Not too shabby Paul! :wink
Weird that Higgins got knocked out... really hoping O'Sullivan can pick up his best form, entertain the crowd, beat Williams, maybe get a maximum (140 wasn't bad!) and go on to win the championship. :D

O'Sullvans 140 in 8 minutes odd wasn't bad. On paper is tough match for Ronnie which could re-ignite his interest in the sport

I've actually got a little interest in the snooker this year, a wee bit of excitement.....never been about it since the 80's

My 2 picks for this year were Maguire & Carter...only one left now but he has a good chance of winning it I reckon. It all depends on Ronnies attitude though...if his head is right he should win this thing now.

2.26 Joe Perry v Ali Carter 1.74 Won
Yup. Reckon Ronnie holds a strong chance, but to be honest everyone who's left in the competition does. Maguire and Ali Carter particularly, in fact I think Ali Carter has a stronger contention for the final over Maguire...
Whether Hendry will beat Ronnie though, it's a tough one. I mean, they're both out and out world champions, one very level headed, one not. A slip up from Ronnie and he's got to rely on a big mistake from Hendry.

If it had been a Carter-Maguire semi final I'd have had a tough time picking between the two.
Ronnie was just outstanding yesterday

Looks as though this could be over this afternoon. Carter just looks completely out of his depth

Well done Paul. In the end, Ronnie was just too good for them wasnt he. You could never back him with much confidence though could you...this time next year he could go out in the first round if his head is not right. He did well though and didnt do any press conferences talking about his ! :wink
Yep! Classy, classy player, he's the best in the world by a country mile (to quote Mr Hendry :wink) and was just too strong for Ali.
How on earth is Stephen McGuire world number 2 though?

Probably because he plays in all the world ranking tournaments, and is consistent. That is a flaw with rankings.
Take Darts hero Taylor, seldom been ranked No.1 through the last 15 years, as he prefers to make more money as a celeb, rather than playing ranking events for a few grand.
