Tory MPs claimed rent for home they owned

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle4164118.ece

So let me get this straight.

These two MP's had bought a house, and then claimed rent off the Parliamentary expenses, and have been let off because they didn't understand the procedure.

Are these the very MP's that we are told are more intelligent than us and fully understand the European Treaty.....

Anyone else in 'a normal job' would be in trouble for this...but it seems if youre a politician...you are given the benefit of the doubt. Its just unreal.. They should be made to pay it all back from when the rules changed...the greedy Ever wondered why so many go into politics!

The best bit as I understand it...they can't claim anymore rent for the flat from Sept 2008!! How about....well NOW!!

    You're right mate, it's sickening.
If they agreed on policy as much as they agree on how to cover themselves from the common man knowing how far their snouts were in the trough, we'd be a lot better off.
    If that makes sense.

I think you're right Keith, everyone is just so sick of it and politicians and the way the country is going with crime etc that we are getting almost apathetic to it.

If I hear one more thing about Prisoners and their human rights I think I'll explode. They should lose all bar the basic ones the minute they step through the Prison gates. What about the rights of the victim that was mugged/stabbed/murdered?
