You can put a shield over the dish you know (little canopy), just make sure it is not covering the line between dish/satellite, or buy a cover like http://www.montanasatellitesupply.co.../cvr-dtv18.htm
The reason it goes off is the vibrations caused by bad weather, and the error correction cannot cope. Happens on Freeview as well.
