Having spent the last few hours reviewing the variables for this system I have made a single adjustment to it.

Over the last 3 years the SR on 6yo in NH races has dropped quite dramatically, now I don't usually like taking a middle bit of a variable out, but as age is not interconnected with the other variables, it works fine with this system.

So why have 6yo's become a problem over the last few years (I never change a variable unless I know the reason)? More than likely due to the French! Obvious really! .

For years trainers brought over French horses which start jumping a lot younger than our lot, usual age for UK jumpers starting off was 5. Training methods over here are now changing to match the French style, so it is no longer the case that NH horses are now trained to peak at 6.

Strike rate was already a very acceptable 87.89%, but is now expected to climb to around 89.5%. The difference may appear small, but when laying, this makes a big difference to overall profits.
