UK Beatboxing Championships / London Transport advice

Going tomorrow night :D So will watch the UK Finals, plus get to see Bauchklang's (Austrian 6-piece beatboxing act) UK debut. it's at Shepherds Bush though, so haven't a clue how I'm going to get home afterwards, as it finishes at 2:30am.

Just wondered if anyone knows / lives in West London and can advise what the best routes are to get there? I'm thinking either:

Central line from Tottenham Court Road to Shepherds Bush... or... Hammersmith & City line from Kings Cross to Shepherds Bush market. Just wondered which of those is closer?

I could use Google Street View and navigate my way around but the effort is somewhat tedious...

Either way I'll be getting two night buses home afterwards. Which isn't great, after 2 Fridays ago, where I got the night bus the wrong way from Kings Cross and didn't even realise until I got to Trafalgar Square and got thrown off (iPod in, in my own world :D), and didn't get home till 4am!
