Sorry all. I was away Sunday and back in plenty of time Monday to sort everything out and settle in for a bumper day of racing an gambling only to find out my internet connection was bust
I phoned Virgin Media and after explaining to the chap there that I had rebooted everything and he could drop the patronising tone as I knew how to use a computer he was actually helpful and between us we were able to establish that my cable modem is knacked! It seems to be working just now but for how long? They are sending me a new one but I may be on and off for the next couple of days till that arrives
