    Yeah, Ted was definitely not married, so he was the next one before Maggie.... I could be pedantic and try to qualify the question more as Chancer said 'English' rather than 'British' PM, but given the term Prime Minister wasn't used seriously until Robert Walpole had that role in the early 18th century, and that was well after the union of the Scots and English, I can't see any other answers other than Maggie and Ted.
