1. The objective is to crack the combination of the safe using the clues.
The safe combination looks like this:

A digit can be used more than once in the code, and there are no leading zeroes.
Here are the clues:
a) The third set of two numbers is the same as the first set reversed.
b) There are no 2's, 3's, 4's or 5's in any of the combination.
c) If you multiply 4 by the third set of numbers, you will get the fourth set of numbers.
d) If you add the first number in the first set with the first number in the second set you will get 8.
e) The second set of numbers is not greater than 20.
f) The second number in the second set multiplied by the second number in the fourth set equals one higher than the numbers in the first set.
2. Suppose you're in a hallway lined with 100 closed lockers.
You begin by opening every locker.
Then you close every second locker.
Then you go to every third locker and open it (if it's closed) or close it (if it's open).
Let's call this action toggling a locker.
Continue toggling every nth locker on pass number n.
After 100 passes, where you toggle only locker #100, how many lockers are open?
3. Five guests, Mr. Smith, Ms. Jones, Sir Brown, Lord Green and Miss Scarlet, were all invited to an exclusive party at Merryfield Mansion.
However, during the long, dark night, the owner of the spectacular mansion, Mr. Merryfield, was found dead in his office.
The trouble is, every member of the party went into his office, each at a different time, with a different weapon, motive and clue that incriminated them.
From their statements below, can you work out who killed him?
Mr. Smith's statement: "I didn't do it. I never left a footprint because a woman did.
I entered the room before the person who took in the poison.
I must say though, she was in there for a quarter of an hour before someone else went in!"
Ms. Jones's statement: "Okay, I admit it! I took in the revolver, even though my motive wasn't revenge.
A man entered the room after me and his motive was either rage or blackmail."
Sir Brown's statement: "All I know is, I did leave a fingerprint, but that doesn't explain why Miss Scarlet lost a hair, does it?
Oh yes! The person who entered seventy minutes before me took in the lead piping."
Lord Green's statement: "I entered after a woman, who did not take in rope because the last person to visit him did.
I was in there for more than thirty-five minutes confronting Mr. Merryfield with my motive, which, may I say, wasn't greed or blackmail."
Miss Scarlet's statement: "Yes, you caught me! My motive was jealousy, but it wasn't as bad as that man's blackmail motive, who entered at five minutes past nine.
I entered before another man who left the incriminating clue of the blood drop."
The person who entered the room at half past ten is the real killer. Who did it?
