    This is England '86

I enoyes the film, and the series seemed to start okay.

A good mix of comedy and drama.

A pleasant evening's viewing i thought... looking forward to the next episode.

Thought it was good that they seem to have got all of the case back together for this. Hope it gets good enough ratings to warrent being another series afterwards.

Watched the film today for the first time, thought it was excellent if not a bit disturbing. It felt like a documentary most of the time. Have recorded the series tonight so like you vegy, hope it is the same standard. BTW the young lad is from Grimsby isn't he? We do produce some talent you know!

But you are also produced Ian Huntley, so it's all swings and roundabouts!

The Grimsby/Cleethorpes area also brought you Mrs Mangle, Julie Peasgood (Brookside and Birds Eye peas ads), Patricia Hodge, educated John Hurt and can claim Norman Lamont (should we want to) as one of ours too. Then there's The Singing Postman (if your old enough to remember him), Elton John's mate Bernie Taupin and Thriller/Boogie Nights writer Rod Temperton.
