I have a good reason for not being able to choose a third number, I've been at work for 24 hours, perhaps you could extend the deadline a wee bit and allow me to choose number 6 before I head off to bed for a well earned snooze?
My keyboard's running out of ink....
Sorry BigC, but I'm going to have to say 'no' on this occasion.
I accept that you work horrendous hours and that you probably have no idea of where each driver finished in qualifying OR which driver is associated with which number.....but I have to respect the fact that both Iron Chris and Lowe1 failed to pick numbers on Wednesday (for whatever reason), so it would be unfair of me to let you pick a number AFTER qualifying has taken place AND outside the deadline, and NOT let them do the same.
If you had mentioned in your Thursday post that you were not going to be able to post on Friday due to work commitments, different story.....of course I would have let you pick a number in advance.
I appreciate that it's a full-on struggle to get people to take part in the game and alienating them by being 'picky' is not a clever move on my part, but I hope you can see where I'm coming from on this one.....I'm just trying to play fair and by the rules, and sincerely hope that I've not caused offence in my explanation.
It used to be that you had to be up early on a Friday to have any chance of a third number. It's only because some players have lost interest that numbers are left over still. I agree 100% with what you're saying Ada, especially since the version B spreadsheet showing all the drivers has been available for a little while now and while I know BigC wouldn't do so, one could match the remaining numbers to the drivers and then cherry pick that way giving them an advantage none of the rest of us had.

No worries Ada, I hadn't actually thought about the second spreadsheet being 'open' by that time! Normally I've been able to pick one up on a Saturday morning when I've been on overnight, but I guess with the big time difference this time it's brought the deadline forward. I'll try and let you know in advance next time round.

Post 1 attachments updated with RACE 17 (South Korea) results & players' positions.
Next race: Brazil - 07/11/10.
I will post a new game thread and spreadsheet on WEDNESDAY 3rd NOVEMBER.
Looks like Yerots would have to be very unlucky to lose this one from here. 84pts clear with two races remaining. It means someone (BigC) would need a winner-safety car/second place double each week and hope Paul scores nothing else it will take three high scoring drivers (podium finishes) or two podiums and a safety car in both races to knock Paul off the top spot.
