I think it's safe to assume at least 20 of those in the top 60 will come out so Piraya should squeeze in.
Antepost on the GN at this stage is a little risky but one which stands out and we know will run is Comply or Die. Rated 144 and will carry 10-8, for a horse that has carried 11lb and 12lb round the course to finish in the last two years it seemingly looks thrown in at the weights almost. No question marks other than age and whilst winning is a big ask, 60/1 looks a good bet as because of his recent exploits, come the 9th April, he'll be 25/1 at best.
Think you're right bud - to be honest I have mistaken Piraya for The Package & have acted impulsively but
I see Piraya is entered up for the Racing Post Chase this Saturday, doesn't look as pretty in that on the figs as the National but if by remote possibility he should win, then he would have a very similar profile to Comply Or Die prior to his National glory....
I was just googling something & this turned up - a Grand National Predictor kit & guess who turns up quite a lot?

If Quinz gets in the National (and/or his conenctions choose to run him) he has to be of serious interest.
The Racing Post chase win on Saturday puts him approx. 1 stone well in at the weights based on his 144 he's allocated for the the GN. Ok, he's a novice and that is a huge negative where trends are concerned but if you wait a year and he runs in the usual races that a horse of his ability will, i.e Hennessy etc, he won't be rated 144 next season. His win at Kempton also showed some battling qualities.

Already there has been huge interest
in this horse for this years Grand National.
Bookmakers William Hill were taken by
surprise with the arrival of a £10,000
cash wager in a Cornish betting shop.
The trainer has been trying for years
to get this horse into the race.
This horse comes good this time of the year
and possesses bags of stamina!
Just do what I do and dutch 1/2 the field

This weekend a host of Grand National contenders complete their preparations before the big race. At Newbury Niche Market goes head-to-head with Big Fella Thanks in the Greatwood Gold Cup Handicap Chase. One-time ante-post Grand National favourite Ballabriggs looks sets to bypass the Grimthorpe Chase and head to Kelso as he is better suited to the conditions and has only a 4lb penalty to carry.
