As was pointed out on RUK the other night, more horses die over hurdles than chases .... why? Speed..... more horses have died over the Aintree fences that have been lowered to make them 'safer' .... why? They now jump them faster ..... Fence 4 is now the lowest fence on that track.... strange as 1 death and plenty of fallers all meeting.
