    password protection

sadly my brother in law passed away yesterday it was very sudden and unexpected, he worked in computers and had a notebook, laptop and pc which are all password protected does anyone know of a way around the password so we can access his files?

I have an impressive bank of knowledge and experience. Unfortunately, I've lost the combination to this bank.

Really sorry to hear that piggy. I tried this for someone a few years ago on Vista and it worked a treat, managed to get into their account for them.

Just tried the new version on my XP laptop and it works fine. In fact it is easier to use now, you can just choose to reset the password from the menu, and what username to reset...easier than a few years ago even. I selected to use a blank password, seems the best option they say and it is what you require really isnt it.
