    Hello from France

    Hello everyone

I've been a member here since July of 2011, have asked one silly question (and got it answered straight away), have followed many of the threads on this forum and thought that it was about time that I introduced myself.

A newcomer to the sport, I have a very mathematically focused approach to horse racing and sometimes marvel at the breadth of knowledge that you guys have about specific horses/jockeys/trainers.

I'm currently working on what started out to be a replacement for the old Racing System Builder but has now seemed to have morphed into a sort of continuation of Adrian Massey's system builder (but with graphs.)

I'm interested in pretty much everything to do with the sport and am sure that I'll be asking plenty more silly questions here in the future.

    All the best

    Keith

Do you follow racing at Deauville Keith?

Watch out for UK invaders - there was a couple of Brit winners there on Saturday - prize-money better

No - I'm more interested in UK & Irish racing at the moment - although it interesting to see the French horses come over to the UK and do well.

Win2Win - I'm confused enough with the UK racing without trying to figure out ll the froggy stuff (and what's with that horse and cart trotting stuff, anyway? I certainly can't figure it out!)

    All the best

Blimey, you should worry about asking silly questions with blokes like me on the forum.

In fairness to the horse and cart trotting lot, it's nice to see the spirit of Steptoe lives on, and I feel the rules should be relaxed so they can pick up some gear if it becomes available on the way round.

I just hope the trotters don't do what old Albert did in one of the Steptoe films when he dropped his sarnies though. I've heard of relish in a sandwich but that was taking it too far.

I just thought some of you youngsters might have caught a repeat of the series on GOLD.

Still, I suppose you're too busy fiddling with new-fangled gadgets and listening to these modern pop music crooners like Elton John.

Talking of GOLD, it's about time they started showing some Only Fools & Horses episodes.

The Detectives was on GOLD or Comedy Central a couple of weeks back.

But to drag this thread back on-topic, the French have a bit of a sauce (no pun intended) organising any kind of horse racing considering Dobbin's on the menu over there.

All very confusing, and you don't know whether Jacques thinks it's a case of hot to trot or one for the pot.
