Haven't checked what's next, but I wonder how long the cameraman has to sit around for some shots

Can take months just to make a one hour programme. I've just been watching Gordon Buchanan, one of the best cameramen around, filming Tigers in Bhutan (BBC 4) and on Thursday (BBC 2) he was in the Arctic filming Polar Bears, again for a one hour programme. It took him 4-6 months in the worst possible conditions but the programme was great viewing. He's got a job to die for. (almost)
Especially if he's filming bears and forgot about the open honey snack bar in his pocket

People knock the BBC but their wildlife programmes are second to none. You think that Buchanan chap was slightly nervous when that bear was testing out his plastic container
Africa is fantastic, absolute class camera work and obviously I can't say too much but the elephant calf last week was nearly too much. Took my breath away.
Hello everyone, haven't been on here for a while and it's nice to see the same familiar faces. Hope you're all doing well.
