    Using Excel to place bets

Somewhere on the forum over the last week or so, someone mentioned that they could place their bets via Excel. It sounded very interesting...

I have 13 systems currently and I'd like to go live with 3 or 4 more. Each works from its own spreadsheet and I use Betfair and increasingly Betdaq. I usually have to call in Mat for assistance with anything Excel wise as I cant write formulas yet and VB thingy and all that clever stuff is beyond me frankly....

How easy is it for a real novice to set up bet placement via Excel and do you need a any other software ?

Answers on a postcard please to Excel Bet Placement for Dummies :D

Seriously if anyone can give me an idiots guide I would appreciate it as I really am struggling to get everything done in an hour

You need a 3rd party bit of code to join up Excel with the API of Betfair. A few of them around these days, and Excel & VBA is easy to pick up. Put it this way....Vegy can use Excel.....
