Loading a timeform disk - computer extremely slow

I'm loading up a timeform disk which requires the creation of a database.

It says 'This one-off process my take up to an hour to complete. Please wait...'

I put it on last night and its still not done!

Now, my computer memory is crap, but this is pretty frustrating. Besides the obvious like not running other programmes, is there any way I can speed up the process? Is there anything I should turn on/off? Is there any way of dedicating more memory to the task at hand? I'm going out soon, so I can leave the computer alone and running.

It's crashed, should only actually take a few minutes on a half decent system.

Even with memory as shockingly poor as 256MB?

All it does is build the database on your system and transfer the data into it. Unike RSB it is only 5 years of data, and RSB was working on systems in the 80's.
