Good luck guys. To me, it looked OK at first, but I found this really tough. Got there eventually after struggling on and off for a couple of days or so. (A bit of very basic algebraic maths is required as well). Maybe it was just me who found it hard...give it a go and see how you get on....
Last night, just before the Win2Win Christmas Market closed at 9:00 p.m., five Win2Win members bought the last five remaining Christmas trees, loading them into their cars as heavy snow transformed the country into an arctic nightmare. Can you solve this Christmas Logic Puzzle before the UK freezes over once and for all and ceases to function altogether (oh ...we're there already!!):
a) What variety of tree each member selected,
b) How much their tree cost
c) What order 1st-5th they bought the final five Christmas trees of the night?
CLUES
1. Two of the trees were £5 apart in price; all other prices differed by more than £5.
2. Bigcumba didn't buy the Norwegian Fir.
3. Mathare bought his tree immediately before the member who selected the Swedish Fir; the Swedish Fir cost £25 more than the tree that Mathare took home.
4. The member who bought the White Pine, who wasn't Vegyjones, paid £60 for his Christmas tree.
5. The tree Iron Chris chose cost twice as much as the Blue Spruce, which wasn't the last tree sold.
6. The Swedish Fir was sold before Bigcumba bought his tree.
7. Vegyjones paid for his Christmas tree immediately after the member who selected the Norwegian Fir; the cost of Vegyjones' tree was £50 less than the cost of the Norwegian Fir.
8. One member chose the Scotch Pine earlier in the evening than when Scoobydoo bought his tree; the Scotch Pine cost £30 less than Scoobydoo's tree did.
