ANNOUNCEMENT

Optional Extra Bet Opportunity in Saturday's Qipco 2000 Guineas Stakes

On Saturday 3rd May I will post up 2 races for the Joint Effort competition that day.

The FIRST race you treat exactly as normal...
Post your main and reserve selections, remembering to add which
type of bet you want to apply to your picks......
either Win Only
(W), Each Way (EW) or Place Only (P).
OR to post a Double Stake bet, add one of the following bet types
to your selections instead:
2W or 2EW or 2P.

The SECOND race will be the 3.50 Newmarket Qipco 2000 Guineas Stakes.
In this race you have the opportunity to post an OPTIONAL** second bet....EITHER.....

a) A 1pt Straight Forecast
Stake 1pt and post the names of the 2 horses you think will finish 1st and 2nd in that order, ie 1st HORSE A, 2nd HORSE B (SF)
If your bet is successful you will receive the SF dividend (in points) as quoted in the race result section of The Sporting Life.
If your bet loses, you will have your 1pt stake deducted from your points total.

OR

b) A 1pt Reverse Forecast
Stake 2pts and post the names of the 2 horses you think will finish 1st and 2nd in either order, ie HORSE A, HORSE B (RF).
This is effectively 2 x 1pt Straight Forecast bets - Bet 1: 1st HORSE A, 2nd HORSE B; Bet 2: 1st HORSE B, 2nd HORSE A.
If one of the bets is successful you will receive the SF dividend (in points) as quoted in the race result section of The Sporting Life.
If your bet loses, you will have your 2pts stake deducted from your points total.

Please make sure you specify the (SF) or (RF) bet type when posting your selections.
Selections posted without the bet type above will be treated as a 1pt Straight Forecast (SF) bet.

If selections are NOT prefixed with 1st or 2nd in a Straight Forecast (SF) bet they will be treated as 1st/2nd in the order they are posted
.

** Posting the Straight/Reverse Forecast bet is OPTIONAL, it's up to you.
No points will be deducted from your total if you decide not to participate
.

***The Sporting Life SF dividend is declared to a 1 unit stake which is included in the figure given.
Therefore, a 1 unit Straight Forecast, where the dividend declared is £24.50, will payout £24.50, resulting in a profit of £23.50.
And a 2 unit Reverse Forecast (2 x 1 unit Straight Forecasts), where the SF dividend declared is £24.50, will payout £24.50, resulting in a profit of £22.50.
