The Premier League has been around for 2 decades and over the years many betting techniques have been put forward. However, do not confuse a betting technique with a profitable betting technique, as the former is likely to lose you money over the long term.
Anyone that follows the Premier League will notice that at the half-way mark clusters start to appear, usually into 4 distinct groups. At the top you will get 4-7 teams that are pretty much moving away from the rest, and around 2-5 at the bottom, about 5 above that we have those just bobbing around the relegation zone, and the teams that are left usually stay floating around the middle and remain there till the end of the season.
Once we hit the half-way mark of the season we can start to pick out some bets as trends are now clear to see.
One of my favoured profitable betting techniques is waiting for those in the top cluster to play those in the bottom cluster. The bottom cluster team must be playing away from home and check the stats for them that they are really crap at winning away games. Then you just lay the away team. You are not going to get great odds, but it is profitable, and you get a high strike rate.
This technique actually works for the two divisions below it, and you usually get slightly better odds.
To improve the odds for the Premier League you simply wait until half-time. This reduces the number of bets you will have but you are risking less when laying. If the score is a draw or the away team by some miracle is a goal ahead, then lay the away team. Obviously you will be getting good laying odds if they are a goal ahead but they seldom manage to hold on to the lead.
If you do not have an exchange account then you can lay through a normal bookmaker, even in your local shop, all you do is dutch the home win and the draw, effectively laying the away team. You can find free dutching calculators for smartphones these days, and a quick Google will bring a few.
