All fantastic! Especially Kula Shaker, what a shame they split. Govinda is such a great tune. Saw FLC live, they were awesome.Originally Posted by presto

i can't believe nobody has mentioned ELO nothing better than sticking confusion on at 3am and waking the neighbours :D :D
True Lowe, ELO were brilliant in the 70's, Out Of The Blue was a classic, but all the stuff from the early Roy Wood years on to OOTB is all great, pity about the Discovery album onwards though.... a lot of that wasn't so good.

I am amazed that you can find so many classic albums all, every song is good on these albums? Ooo
Some of the songs may need a lot of listening but over the years they tend to grow on you, some of the tracks are excellant, some are just good.
I'll throw my dubious choices into the pot:
Beatles - Revolver
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
David Bowie - The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust
The Clash - London Calling
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon
Ian Dury and the Blockheads - New Boots And Panties
Paul Simon - Graceland
Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
Jethro Tull - Aqualung
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Pronounced Leh'-nerd Skin-'nerd
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
Sensational Alex Harvey Band - Next
Some classic tracks buried amongst that lot - in fact, there's hardly any bad ones.

I think the point Workshy was trying to make at the beginning was to only list the albums you think are extra extra special. Everyone has 'great albums' but then there are a few that go way, way beyond that.
It doesn't look as though everyone has blindly stuck to this, but still, some great albums mentioned. :)

Def Leppard - Hysteria
Midnight Oil - Diesel And Dust
Dave Matthews Band - Before These Crowded Streets
James - Seven
Thought someone would have mentioned " War of the Worlds" by now, timeless.
Rage Against The Machine. I think the albm is er..rage against the machine. Pleases the neighbours a treat :D
All of Metallicas early stuff, not a dodgy track in 5 albums I make it.
Any pre-95 mix by Paul Oakenfold.
"Be Right and Sit Tight" - Jesse Livermore, trading legend...
the jam sound effects
the jam setting suns
pure music
Just went to upload a little song everyone could delight in, but the limit is 2mb! Whats the point?
In no particular order.........
The Smiths...best of,
Erasure......Wonderland
The verve.....Urban hymns
All i need is a desert island now.
Jonah
"What would Thora Hird do???"
Bam.... to the top.....
Didn't put this up originally, but another album for me where EVERY track is a classic would be Jagged Little Pill.
